Experiencing "Liberty."
How to Get to Heaven from "Liberty."
Yes, Pleasant Hill Christian Church is located just outside the town of Liberty. While Liberty is a quiet rural town that we are happy to live in, this isn't the only "Liberty" that we would like for you to experience.
The Bible, God's Holy Word, tells us that in Christ we have "Liberty."
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage..." - Galatians 5:1
We weren't born with this "Liberty"; in fact, the Bible emphatically tells us that we were born as sinners and in need of a Savior.
"Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." - Psalm 51:5
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" - Romans 5:12
And without that Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the penalty of our sin would be death.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23
God's FREE gift to us was the "Liberty" we have in Christ.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
So the question would be: "Have you experienced 'Liberty'?" If not, the Bible says:
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13
